Imran Khan didn’t telephone anyone to remove my name from ECL: Zulfi Bukhari

“On The Front with Kamran Shahid”, he said that no Black List law exists in the country, adding that he didn’t even know his name was on the Black List.

FIA should be asked as to why my name was included in the list, he said.

He went on to say that he is being criticized on social media for the last three days.

“I have six offshore companies,” the PTI leader said and added the companies were named in Panama Papers scandal.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is investigating those six companies, adding that he was not involved in corruption.

Commenting about PTI chairman, Bukhari said that Imran Khan considers him his younger brother.

“Imran Khan did not visit Saudi Arabia on my private aircraft,” he said and added the PTI chairman didn’t telephone anyone to remove his name from the list.

Earlier, Islamabad High Court (IHC) had issued notices to Interior Ministry and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over a plea seeking to exclude name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan’s close aide Zulfi Bukhari from Exit Control List (ECL).

During the hearing, Zulfi Bukhari’s lawyer said that imposing travel ban on his client is contrary to human rights.

He said that Zulfi was first stopped from traveling to Saudi Arabia for Umrah on June 11, however, he was later given permission for six days. My client’s name was unlawfully put on ECL, he added.

The lawyer said that NAB cannot bar anyone from traveling abroad on an undergoing inquiry and requested the court to withdraw this decision.
