ISPR warns against fake threat alerts circulating on social media

The army’s media denied that the ISPR issued threat alerts for different cities across the country.

According to a press release, the ISPR has not issued any such alert and the public should always check the website of the military’s media wing for verification.

“Fake threat alerts for various cities are being circulated on social media quoting ISPR,” said the press release. “No such alerts are issued by ISPR. Such propaganda is an attempt to create confusion and harassment. Citizens to watch out on this and any other such attempt through fake calls. For any clarification in future please verify the news from ISPR official website ispr.gov.pk.”
