Jemima means Bani Gala land, Imran tells ECP

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf arch Imran Khan told the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday that a land for his Bani Gala chateau was a present from his former mother Jemima Khan.

Replying to a commission, a PTI arch claimed his ex-wife was a owner of a land measuring 300 kanals (Bani Gala property), that she had means to him when they divorced. However, Imran pronounced he had after paid Jemima for a skill by selling his London apartment.

Khan further said that due to a check in a sale of his London apartment, he was usually means to compensate Rs6.5 million  and had to steal income for a remaining installments from his afterwards wife. The land was purchased on Mar 13, 2002 for Rs43.5 million, he pronounced in his reply.

The ECP also shelved a conference of a petition opposite a suspension of PM Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law (retd) Captain Mohammad Safdar compartment Dec 15.

Earlier this month, in response to a petition filed before a Supreme Court by a PML-N leader, a PTI counsel pronounced a celebration had not acquired any supports from any ‘prohibited source’.

In his reply, Anwar Mansoor Khan pronounced that “all a income acquired by a PTI was in suitability with a law”. “The PTI is pure in a proceed and for this reason has disclosed all a supports perceived in audited accounts,” he said. “The celebration strongly refutes claims that it has ever evaded any taxation or caused non-declaration of sources of income and expenses,” Khan said.

PTI denies receiving income from ‘prohibited source’

Last month, The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) began scrutinising Imran’s taxation history. Submitting a respond on a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) inherent petition, a FBR told a Supreme Court that it was verifying a petitioner’s (PML-N) claims opposite Imran Khan per taxation evasion.

In a reply, a FBR also settled that if it found any actionable discrepancy, it would trigger suitable authorised record opposite a PTI chief.
