LAHORE: Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani on Saturday pronounced that it is constitutionally mandated that Senate elections be hold on time.
“The Senate choosing contingency be hold on time as a Constitution states,” Rabbani said, adding that any actions that are opposite a Constitution should not be taken.
“The Constitution does not contend anything per a execution of electoral college,” he pronounced in Lahore while addressing a crowd of a private law college.
“The choosing will be hold on time and new members will take promise on Mar 12,” a Senate authority said.
He also said, during his address, that respecting institutions was required for their stability.
