Maryam says mother diagnosed with curable lymphoma
ISLAMABAD: Maryam Nawaz, daughter of deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, confirmed on Wednesday that her mother, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, was diagnosed with curable lymphoma.
“My mother has been diagnosed with lymphoma, cancer of lymph nodes, left side of neck in her case. Her treatment begins immediately,” Maryam said in a Twitter statement.
“Doctors are hopeful that since it is diagnosed at an early stage, it is curable,” she said.
She also thanked followers and supporters for prayers.
“Thanku for yr kind prayers. May Allah bless her with complete recovery,” she added.
