As Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is set to appear before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in Federal Judicial Academy, the Municipal Corporation of Islamabad (MCI) is focusing all the energies in beautification of Sector H-8.
The Federal Judicial Academy located on Service Road (South) of sector H-8/4 was an unknown building for the common but now it is becoming historic place which the people want to visit.
The workers of environment and sanitation wings of the MCI are busy day and night in clearing unwanted bushes, grass and weeds and making cleanliness arrangement on a short notice prior to arrival of the prime minister on Thursday (today).
Usually during Ramazan, the workers of environment wing are not given any tough task. But this time they are facing a different situation.
The heavy mobilised by the Machinery Pool Organisation (MPO) was also seen in filling ditches and doing other necessary repair work.
In the past, the area could not get much attention of MCI and the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Some supporters of the prime minister prominent amongst them Senator Muhammad Abbas Afridi have displayed streamers and banners expressing good wishes to the prime minister.
The residents of Islamabad feel that if the prime minister plans to visit all the sectors of Islamabad particularly model towns, the city and its surrounding areas would start giving festive look and all problems would be resolved in a matter of few months.
The residents, however, have appreciated the MCI for carrying out carpeting of roads in Sector I-9 and other areas.
The security arrangements around the judicial academy and route leading to the place from the Prime Minister House would also be tightened from Wednesday night.
A large number PML-N leaders and workers are also likely to turn up outside the building of the judicial academy on arrival of their top leader.
Meanwhile, the CDA spokesman claims that the Chief Complaint Office of Capital Development Authority (CDA) is fully operational and resolving issues of the residents of the city promptly and efficiently.
During the month of May, 731 complaints regarding different subjects were received and transmitted for disposal to the concerned formations. Moreover, complainants have also been informed about the status of their complaints.
One of the main components of the Authority, Chief Complaint Office, remained non-operational for decades.
However, on the special directions of Member Administration CDA, Muhammad Yasir Pirzada, this office is now playing vital role in resolving issues of the residents of the city, the spokesman said.
During the month of May, Chief Complaint Office received 731 complaints regarding different issues including 262 complaints pertaining to Water Management Wing, 123 regarding sanitation problems, 67 regarding sewerage problems, 03 complaints regarding Environment, 14 related to Enforcement, 02 of BCS, 06 of Market and Road Maintenance issues were also registered.
Complaints were received from different sectors of the federal capital. Highest complaints were received from Sector G-10, which were 109 in number. Similarly 02 complaints received from sector D-12, 02 from E-11, 71 from F-10, 61 from F-11, 19 complaints from sector F-6, 12 from F-7, 26 from F-8, 64 from G-11, 58 from G-6, 74 from G-7, 09 from G-8, 48 from G-9, 56 from I-10, 17 from I-8, 05 from I-9, 05 from Blue Area, 17 from Margalla Twon, 07 from Rawal Town, 20 from Shahzad Town, 02 from Humak and from other sectors.
