NA-4 by-poll: ECP serves notice to claimant for ancillary ‘proscribed’ MML

PESHAWAR: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released a show-cause notice on Friday to an eccentric claimant for a NA-4 Peshawar by-poll for ancillary “proscribed organisation” Milli Muslim League (MML), an appendage of a Jamaatud Dawa (JuD).

Under a ECP’s formula of conduct, a competitor can't arrangement support for another celebration during a by-election.

Moreover, a candidate, Haji Liaquat Ali Khan, was also asked to explain why his banners exceeded a distance authorized by the polls supervisory body.
