ISLAMABAD – Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on the special invitation of his Afghan counterpart of Wolsi Jirga Afghanistan Mir Rehman Rahmani, is heading for Afghanistan on three-day official visit today (Thursday).
During his visit Asad Qaiser will hold talks with his Afghan counterpart, chairman Afghan Reconciliation Council Dr Abdullah Abdullah, Afghanistan Commerce Minister besides meeting with Afghan Parliamentary delegation and Chairman of Afghanistan Chamber of Federation.
The delegation is comprised of Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Sadiq Khan, MNAs Shandan Gulzaar, Muhammad Yaqoob Sheikh, Sajid Khan, Maulana Salauddin Ayubi, Gul Dad Khan, Ghulam Mustafa Shah and Secretary National Assembly.
The parliamentary delegation would focus on enhancing mutual trade between both countries. It will also aim at exploring opportunity for peace in Afghanistan as peaceful Afghanistan will ensure regional prosperity.
Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser efforts has achieved milestone in Pak-Afghan relations. He constituted Executive Committee of Pak-Afghan Parliamentary Friendship Group (Pak-Afghan PFG) and the Executive Committee Pak-Afghan Border. Furthermore, on the special initiative of NA Speaker three-day seminar was also held to strengthen trade relation between the two countries.
