NA speaker leaves for 3-day visit to Afghanistan today

ISLAMABAD – Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on the special in­vitation of his Afghan counter­part of Wolsi Jirga Afghanistan Mir Rehman Rahmani, is head­ing for Afghanistan on three-day official visit today (Thurs­day). 

During his visit Asad Qaiser will hold talks with his Afghan counterpart, chairman Afghan Reconciliation Council Dr Ab­dullah Abdullah, Afghanistan Commerce Minister besides meeting with Afghan Parlia­mentary delegation and Chair­man of Afghanistan Chamber of Federation. 

The delegation is comprised of Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Sadiq Khan, MNAs Shandan Gulzaar, Muhammad Yaqoob Sheikh, Sajid Khan, Maulana Salauddin Ayubi, Gul Dad Khan, Ghulam Mustafa Shah and Sec­retary National Assembly.

The parliamentary delega­tion would focus on enhanc­ing mutual trade between both countries. It will also aim at ex­ploring opportunity for peace in Afghanistan as peaceful Af­ghanistan will ensure regional prosperity. 

Speaker National Assem­bly Asad Qaiser efforts has achieved milestone in Pak-Af­ghan relations. He constituted Executive Committee of Pak-Af­ghan Parliamentary Friend­ship Group (Pak-Afghan PFG) and the Executive Committee Pak-Afghan Border. Further­more, on the special initiative of NA Speaker three-day semi­nar was also held to strengthen trade relation between the two countries.
