NIH will soon be able to make corona vaccine, NA body told

ISLAMABAD – The National Institute of Health (NIH) will soon get the strength of making Covid-19 vaccine in Pakistan, Executive Director (ED) NIH informed the National Assembly on Health here yesterday. The meeting was held here under the chairmanship of MNA Khalid Hussain Magsi. Briefing the committee, NIH Executive Director Maj. Gen Aamer Ikram said that the NIH will soon get the capacity of manufacturing single dose Chinese Covid-19 vaccine CanSino here in the institute. Earlier, the clinical trials of CanSino vaccine were also conducted in several hospitals of the country. The committee expressed satisfaction over the manufacturing plan of the Covid-19 vaccine at the NIH.
