Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman visited the forward bases in Skardu where war exercises by fighter jet squardons were held.
Sohail Aman also participated in the air exercises by flying a Mirage aircraft.
Later speaking to media, Air Chief Sohail Aman said this is a routine operational activity. PAF is always ready to defend the motherland, he said, adding that enemy’s generations would remember our response if it ever resorted to any form of aggression.
It may be mentioned here that Indian Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa on May 20 wrote a personal letter to each officer of the Indian Air Force (IAF), asking them to be prepared for operations, with the present scenario, at a very short notice.
“In the present scenario, there is an ever persistent sub-conventional threat. Therefore, we need to be prepared for operations with our present holdings, at a very short notice. Training needs to be focused towards this,” states the letter received by nearly 12,000 officers of the IAF.
The Indian Express reported that the letter — signed and sent on March 30 — covers a range of issues, especially those in the conflict-ridden state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier on Tuesday, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that any aggression across the Line of Control (LoC) would be retaliated with full force.
He stated this while chairing the 75th meeting of formation commanders in the General Headquarters (GHQ).
General Bajwa reiterated that the military would give a befitting response to the enemy in case of any aggression.
