Panic in courtroom after witness  declares himself Covid-19 positive

ISLAMABAD- The presence of a Covid-19 positive witness spread panic on Friday in the Accountability Court II of Islamabad. 

According to details, Accountability Court II Judge Azam Khan was hearing a case regarding mudaraba scandal and everything was going in routine when a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) witness named Ameer Hyder Malik requested for his early testimony.

He requested the court that he may be allowed to leave the proceedings earliest as he is Covid-19 positive. After his revelation regarding Covid-19, a visible panic spread in the courtroom.

Judge Azam Khan left the courtroom with directions to remove everybody from the court premises. 

Later, the courtroom was vacated and sprayed for disinfection.
