PM Abbasi given Guard of Honour
ISLAMABAD: A formal welcome ceremony in honour of new Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was held at the PM office in Islamabad.
On the occasion, National anthem was played and a smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces presented guard of honour to him.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had taken oath of the office on 1st August after being elected to the top slot. He has been in politics since 1988 and won the election of member of national assembly six times.
In former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s cabinet, he was the minister of petroleum and natural resources. – Samaa
