PM Imran Khan to announce new Karachi package

Prime Minister Imran Khan has arrived in Karachi and will be announcing a package for the city today (Saturday).
He will also be inaugurating various projects and hold several meetings.
The package will comprise Rs8 billion to finish the Green Line BRT project. A new master plan for the city will also be developed by 2047 under the package.
It also includes opening the Lyari Expressway for heavy traffic and Rs2 billion to improve its dual carriageway.

The federal government will also be funding a treatment plant for sewage water in Orangi Town and 50% of the K-IV project.
After visiting Quetta and Gwadar on Friday, PM Khan reached Karachi Friday night. He met Governor Imran Ismail and leaders of the MQM-Pakistan.
During their meeting, Governor Ismail was told to ensure that development projects in Karachi are completed as soon as possible. The premier will be chairing various meetings at Governor House today and inaugurate a tree plantation campaign in Bagh Ibne Qasim.
He will also be meeting MNAs and MPAs today. The premier will also visit Ghotki.
