PMDC rules on admission to be followed

Merit policy for admission to medical and dental colleges in Islamabad will be strictly followed in accordance with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council’s (PMDC) new admission regulations.

This was announced during a meeting of the Regional Admission Committee of Islamabad Capital Territory here at the Ministry of National Health Services and Regulation on Friday.

The admission process in medical and dental colleges of Islamabad was discussed according to Admission Regulation 2016.

The committee was updated about the admission process in the FMDC and its affiliated private medical colleges.

A consensus was built among participants that merit policy will be followed strictly according to PMDC regulations and that the ministry would observe the merit and ensure all legal requirements are met in letter and spirit.

They decided that the affiliated universities of public private medical and dental colleges of ICT would make merit list and that only those students would be registered by PMDC who fulfilled the laid down criteria.
