Police arrest 22 outlaws, dacoits

Islamabad – Police have arrested 13 outlaws including five members of criminal gangs during an operation and recovered seven snatched and stolen motorbikes, mobiles phones, cash, other valuable items and weapons from their procession, informed a police spokesman on Tuesday.  

He said that the action was taken as per special directives of SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer to accelerate efforts to curb crime in the city.

Following these directions, SP (Saddar Zone) Capt (Retd) Hamza Humayun constituted teams of Margalla and Golra police stations who successfully arrested three members of bike lifting gang identified as Shakar Ali, Usman khan and Aryan Khan and recovered  five stolen motorbikes from their possession. Case has been registered against them and further investigation is underway.

Furthermore, SP (Industrial Area) Fida Hussain Satti constituted special team under supervision of ASP Abdul Haleem including SHO Industrial Area Iqbal Gujjar along with other officials who successfully arrested two members of criminal gang involved in snatching mobile phones and other valuables at gunpoint from the citizens. The gangsters have been identified as 

Moaz Abbasi and Moeez Abbasi and recovered two snatched motorbikes and cash, mobile phone and weapons used in crime.

During the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in several incidents of crime in various areas of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Cases have been registered against them and further investigation is underway from them. 

Moreover, Noon Police arrested accused Noor Wali and recovered 1300 gram hashish from him.

 Industrial Area police arrested drug peddler namely Zain Ali and recovered 2400 gram hashish from him.  Aabpara police arrested accused Asif and Danish and recovered 30 litres alcohol and 110 gram hashish from their possession. Shahazad Town police arrested accused Sajjad and recovered 124 gram hashish from him.  Kohsar police arrested accused Raj Wali and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him.

  Golra police arrested accused Shams and recovered one 9mm pistol from him.  Karachi Company police arrested accused Saad and recovered one dagger from him.  Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. DIG (Operations) Afzal Ahmed Kausar and SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer have appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.

CIA arrests 8 criminals

Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad police arrested eight criminals of two gangs. 

The action was made in line with strict directives by DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmad Kausar. The DIG asked police officials that to curb crime and secure the city against criminals should be top priority of the department.

Subsequently, the SSP (Investigation) Atta ur Rehman constituted a special police team under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs) Rana Tasneem, Usman Bashrat and others for surprise checking in various areas of the city.  

The team nabbed three members of a criminal gang consisting of three ladies. They have been identified as Sulma, Bushra and Shamim. Police team recovered gold ornaments, cash and vehicle used in crime from their possession.

The case has been registered against them and further investigation is underway from them.

During preliminary investigation, they confessed to be involved in looting the people in guise of public transporters. Police have also impounded vehicle used by them for such activities.

Furthermore, under the supervision of DSP CIA ASIs Sadeer Abbasi and Bashrat and others arrested five members of dacoit gang. They have been identified as Yasir Khan, Sulman Khan, Sulman Khan, Rehmat Ullah and Sulman, Jamal Khan and recovered three pistols along with ammunition use in crime from their possession.

Separate cases have been registered against them at Industrial Area police stations and further investigation is underway.

 The DIG appreciated the performance and directed all police officials to remain vigilant in their respective areas and to ensure safety and security of the citizens.
