Karachi’s Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra is a PSP candidate from NA-254, a high-profile but badly neglected National Assembly seat in the metropolis.
For the July 25 elections, major political parties have fielded their candidates in the constituency that houses the now sealed Nine Zero headquarters of the Altaf Hussain-led Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
The seat is considered the MQM stronghold.
Arshad Vohra, who joined PSP in Oct 2017 after parting ways with MQM, vows to resolve major civic issues of the area, including water supply and sanitation, at the earliest.
“The entire infrastructure is topsy-turvy. The residents will see a change within six months,” he said, speaking to SAMAA TV’s reporter.
Answering a question about why people should be voting for PSP, he said, “Mustafa Kamal’s tenure as a mayor of Karachi was the best in the city’s history in terms of performance.”
Arshad Vohra is determined to win the seat by a heavy margin.
