Qavi probed on assembly with Qandeel during polygraph test: sources
LAHORE: The polygraph exam of Mufti Abdul Qavi has been finished in Punjab Science Forensic Agency, sources said.
The lie-detection exam went on for over 5 hours, during that Qavi, who is an indicted in a murder of amicable media luminary Qandeel Baloch, was asked several questions, according to sources. He was also probed over his assembly with Qandeel and about his family with a deceased’s hermit who allegedly killed her.
Qavi was brought to Lahore from Multan for a polygraph exam progressing on Wednesday.
He was liberated from Institute of Cardiology in Multan on Tuesday and is now on a four-day military remand. He would be presented in a sessions justice on Friday.
Judicial justice Mohammad Pervez expelled non-bailable warrants for Qavi after review officer Noor Akbar requested a justice to do so on a drift that a minister is not auxiliary with a police. The minister was arrested on Oct 18.
Qavi complained of chest pain and was certified to a hospital, hours after he was remanded into military custody. He also underwent angiography in a following days and was liberated on Tuesday.
Qandeel Baloch murder
Qandeel, who shot to celebrity for her “bold” selfies that polarised Pakistan, was allegedly strangled in Jul 2016 by her hermit Muhammad Waseem.
In his confession, Waseem claimed she had brought contrition on a family and confessed to his crime in a press discussion after his arrest. Later, a polygraph suggested that Waseem had assistance from his cousin Haq Nawaz and few others.
