The provincial counter-terrorism dialect (CTD) has arrested a squad of terrorists concerned in several incidents of targeted killings, including a murder of famous qawwal Amjad Sabri in Karachi.

“These terrorists were concerned in carrying out several high form apprehension incidents, including a murdering of troops personnel,” Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah told reporters on Monday. “The squad was also concerned in targeting during slightest dual majlis [Shia gatherings].”

He added, “The same squad also had ties in a murdering of Amjad Sabri.”

The qawwali conductor had been shot passed by motorcycle-borne gunmen in Karachi’s Liaquatabad in Jun this year when he was roving from his home to a radio studio to attend an iftar transmission.
