Tenant arrested for stealing landlords furniture

Additional Sessions Judge, Islamabad Ms. Abida Sajjad cancelled the pre arrest bail of Mr. Ehsan ullah Qureshi in a case against him for stealing household furniture of the rented house. Ehsan Ullah Qureshi, a resident of Street 17, F-10/2, Islamabad was arrested from the court premises.

As per details, an FIR was filed the Kohsar Police Station against Ehsan Ullah Qureshi, for stealing household furniture from a house he had rented previously, located in sector F-6/1, Islamabad.

In his application with Kohsar Police Station, the complainant, stated that he evicted Ehsanullah Qureshi from the said house with assistance of Islamabad High Court order through bailiff and local police after the tenant had failed to pay rent arrears for more than one year. The complainant stated that following the eviction of Ehsan Ullah Qureshi, it was learned that household furniture including sofas, chairs, tables, beds etc which were supplied with the house were missing from the house.

Taking action of the following complainant, Kohsar Police Station registered FIR under section 406 Pakistan Penal Code, however, Ehsan Ullah Qureshi had obtained pre arrest bail which was cancelled yesterday at the court hearing and the tenant was subsequently arrested.  The complainants lawyer, Advocate Imran Feroz, argued that Ehsanullah Qureshi was a habitual offender and had previously been involved in many similar wrongdoings.

It is worth mentioning here that three FIRs have been registered against Ehsanullah Qureshi. As per details, FIR has been registered against Ehsanullah Qureshi in Shalimar Police Station under section 489-F for making embezzlement of funds with Shaheen Foundation, a sub- department of Pakistan Air Force.

Another FIR registered against Ehsanullah Qureshi with Shalimar Police Station under section 489-F, 506 and 34 Sections of Pakistan Penel Code for making fraudulent tactics.
