Capital Development Authority (CDA) Training Academy is playing pivotal role in enhancing calibre and professionalism in the employees of CDA and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI). More steps would be taken to make training programmes result oriented so that the service delivery in CDA and MCI could be improved.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz expressed these views while chairing a meeting at CDA Headquarters here on Thursday. The meeting was attended by the Executive Director General Training Academy Sanaullah Aman and other senior officers of the authority.
The meeting reviewed progress and impacts of the training programmes which has been held up till now. Giving details of the courses held at CDA Training Academy, Sanaullah Aman said that 37 courses, four lectures one international workshop and three workshops of national level from June 2014 up till now. These courses were attended by around 9,670 people including CDA and MCI employees and students of different educational institutes.
Furthermore, 132 renowned trainers including senior civil servants, professors and intellectuals participated in the training programmes. These sessions were held at the Jinnah Convention Centre, Pak-China Friendship Centre, CDA Model School and other premises. He further informed that the courses were specially designed to improve the abilities of CDA employees.
He further informed that prominent courses which were organised include Enhancement of Leadership qualities, Office Procedure and Capacity Building, Improvement in vertical and Horizontal communication, Report writing skills, Ground and Surface Water Management, Stress Management, Conflict Management in Contracts, CPD Framework for Professional Development of Engineers, Office Orientation and Communication Skills, Global Warming and Environmental Hazard, Project Management, Personal Development, Team Management, Presentation skills, and Organisation Development.
He said that CDA Training Academy has also organised 1st International Conference on Emerging Trend in Science and Engineering. He informed the meeting that these courses were attended by officers and officials of the authority without any discrimination.
