ANKARA: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday warned a European Union that Ankara will travel divided from a long-running membership routine if new advent chapters are not opened.

“There is no choice other than opening chapters that we have not non-stop until now. If we open, afterwards great. If we don’t open, afterwards goodbye,” Erdogan pronounced after rejoining Turkey’s statute celebration in Ankara.

“Turkey is not their (the EU’s) doorman,” he added.

The “chapters” are a process areas that are being addressed in a long-running membership talks.

“First we have to hoop these chapters and do your promises. Then we will lay during a list and talk. Otherwise, we have zero left to plead with you,” Erdogan said.
