Woman allegedly raped, 2 persons die in road mishaps in ICT

ISLAMABAD – A woman was allegedly raped by a man on gunpoint after luring her for a job in the federal capital, informed a police spokesman on Monday.

The incident took place within the limits of Police Station (PS) Khanna wherein a rape case has also been registered against the two men, he added.

Similarly, two persons died in road traffic accidents in the federal capital, he added.

According to him, a woman namely (AB), resident of Tench Bhatta Rawalpindi, lodged a complaint with PS Khanna officials stating she was approached by a man Asghar and his accomplice for giving her a job in Islamabad and Asghar raped her forcefully on gunpoint in a car, and threw her out of car near Khanna.

Police have registered a case under sections 376/506ii against the accused and began investigation.

On the other hand, two men died in road traffic accident in Islamabad. Salim Masih told PS Koral officials that his 75-year-old father was crossing road when a speeding vehicle hit and killed him at Barma.

Likewise,  Wilayat Khan lodged complaint with PS Bhara Kahu stating a speeding vehicle crushed his 9 year old son namely Fareed Ullah to death at Maira Begwal.

Police lodged cases and started investigation.
