Woman set ablaze near Shah Allah Ditta
ISLAMABAD-A 21-year-old girl has allegedly been set on fire alive by unknown culprits in hilly area of Kancela near Shah Allah Ditta, a suburb of capital while another man was shot dead in Gulberg Green, informed sources on Friday.
Similarly, a 12-year-old boy was assaulted sexually and another man was also kidnapped in different parts of Islamabad, they said.
Police registered separate cases of incidents and started investigation, they added.
According to details, unknown culprits took a 21-year-old woman to the hilly area of Kancela, near Shah Allah Ditta, the limits of Police Station (PS) Golra Sharif. They allegedly tortured the girl and doused her with petrol and set her alight. Later, the culprits dragged the body of girl and threw it in a deep ditch from the top of the hill, sources said. Some locals alerted police about presence of a body, they mentioned.
Following the information, a police team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Saddar Zone Sajjad Bukhari along with experts of forensic and investigators of Homicide Investigation Unit rushed to the crime scene. The cops collected evidences and moved the body to PIMS for autopsy.
“So far, the police could not ascertain the identity of the girl,” said DSP Sajjad Bukhari while talking to media men. He said the investigators of HIU and forensic experts have taken the samples from the body and dispatched to Forensic Lab Lahore for further process. “The investigators have obtained CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the men who brought girl on the top of hill,” he said. He said a case has also been registered against the unknown killers while further investigation was on.
Meanwhile, Koral police have booked as many as five men on charges of murdering a man namely Riasat in Gulberg Green. However, no arrest was made so far, sources said. According to sources, Shamas Ur Rehman lodged complaint with police stating Shah Muhammad and his accomplice had murdered his brother-in-law Riasat over an old enmity and hid his dead body. Police booked five killers and started investigation.
Likewise, a 12-year-old boy was assaulted sexually by a paedophile namely Maandu in G-7/3-2, in the limits of PS Aabpara. Police registered case against the accused on complaint of Amir Masih and started investigation.
A man namely Iftikhar Ahmed registered case with PS Golra against Faisal and three of his accomplices while accusing them of kidnapping his 22-year-old son Shahzaib.
Ramna police arrested three accused and recovered uniforms of Army and Rangers from their possession.
Sources said armed dacoits deprived two citizens namely Muhammad Arslan and Amir of cash on gunpoint in areas of police stations Golra and Industrial Zone. Similarly, a motorcycle was lifted by auto-theft gang from Shams Colony.
Sihala police registered a car theft case against management of a famous shopping mall “Imtiaz Mall” on complaint of Farrukh Habib and started investigation, sources said.
