LAHORE: A sum of 220 Indian fishermen, expelled from Landhi Jail in Karachi as a good will gesture, were handed over to Indian authorities during a Wagah Border on Monday.
The inmates unintentionally crossed general borders and entered those of Pakistan. On Sunday, they were ecstatic to Lahore by a special sight and reached a Lahore Railway Station on Monday morning.
From there, they were taken to Wagah and handed over to limit authorities who eliminated them over to Indian officials.
The fishermen appreciated a gesticulate and requested both countries recover such prisoners who were arrested while in hunt of a provision for their families.
One of a prisoners pronounced he was a solitary bread earner. He primarily worked as a primer jack-of-all-trades on a vessel and after managed to save adequate income to buy his possess vessel.
When he was held by Pakistani sea authorities, his vessel was also impounded. The fishermen shuddered during a suspicion of his family’s pang during his time in jail. With a sentimental sigh, he says he will have to work really tough to revitalise his fortunes.
