New gas connections: Ministry seeks to mislay suspension

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources has changed a outline seeking a dismissal of sanctions imposed by a prior supervision in 2011 on new industrial and blurb gas connections, central sources said.

“The outline was changed after a gas supply conditions softened with a import of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and find of new gas reservoirs,” they said.

With a import of LNG and a injection, they said, gas companies were ensuring to yield undeviating reserve to a consumers.

They pronounced a supervision had sealed an LNG import agreement with Qatar in 2015, following that cargoes carrying a commodity were frequently nearing in Pakistan.

Currently, gas supply to domestic, commercial, industrial, power, fertilizer and CNG sectors has remained uninterrupted, a sources added.
