Katie Holmes Opens Up About Raising Daughter Suri With Tom Cruise Away From The Public Eye And Giving Her A Normal Life!
Suri Cruise was born to two huge names in Hollywood so it makes sense that she would be in the center of attention from the very beginning! However, her mother, Katie Holmes has always tried her best to keep her daughter, away from the spotlight and now, she is opening up about the methods she employed to make sure she’d offer her a life as close to normal as possible!
As fans remember, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise divorced back in 2012 and ever since then, the actress has been determined to keep their 6 year old child away from the public eye.
Now, the girl is nearly 14 years old and it sounds like her mom has done just that!
During an interview with InStyle Magazine, Katie shared that after she moved to New York City, she used quite a few ingenious methods to keep her child away from the cameras.
‘We were followed a lot when she was little. I just wanted her outside, so I’d walk her around to find parks at, like, 6 in the morning when no one would see us. But there is one video where I am holding her — she was two at the time — and she starts waving at the cameras. She is pretty special,’ she dished.
While she was already famous for her role in Dawson’s Creek back in 2006, it’s safe to say that marrying Tom Cruise and having a baby with him skyrocketed her fame to a level she’d never imagined possible.
As a result, both she and Suri would constantly be followed by photographers.
Furthermore, rumors that Tom has not seen his daughter in years still makes headlines.
Regardless of the constant unwanted attention they get, ‘My biggest goal has always been to nurture [Suri] into her individuality. To make sure she’s 100 percent herself and also just strong, confident, and able. And to know it.’
