Governor’s rule at the Lahore Race Club

LAHORE: It was a Governor’s rule at the Lahore Race Club after the three years old filly overthrew his rivals in the Sheikh Zaheer Aslam Memorial Cup here on Sunday.

In the other main race of the day which was Kot Lakhpat Plate, favourite Jharra overpowered every bit of the challenge it received from its opponent horses.

In the opening race of the day, Mr Brown staged an upset by pushing aside favourite She, which was second while Good Action, which was on fluke was third.

In the second race, Malika Princess, was favourite and was winner too while Chan Punjabi claimed second place to surprise everyone and Artagal that was ecpected to get the place was to settle for third place.

In the third race, Banjo stunned the others by being the winner. As of the other two positions in which Neeli The Malika was second and Silken Black was third also came as a surprise.

In the fourth race of the day, Parwaz-e-Hassan live up to the thoughts of the pundits to be the winner. As of the second place itr was the fluker Royal Runner that saddled to the place. The win of Mud House Legacy at number three place was also a surprise.

In the fifth race of the day, there was an upset from Salam-e-Lahore while Dream Secret getting second position was astonishing and Rashk-e-Qamar too surprised everyone by becoming third.

In the sixth cup race, there was no match for Governor. Its closest rivals proved to be Dahab and Exceptional One who claimed second and third places.

In the seventh race, favourite Jharra dominated the proceeding while Tiger Jet settled for a second spot and Double Action jumped to a third place.

In the eighth race, Legacy had an upset win and so did Salam-e-Dera a second place while Khan Jee slipped to third place.
