Hopeful for international cricket return in Pakistan: Giles Clarke

Giles Clark expressed hope on the matter of international cricket return in Pakistan and said that a breakthrough will happen soon. On the other hand, Shehbaz Sharif assured that major preparations have been made to make the province peaceful for the people.

“We will provide foolproof security for foreign players so that international cricket can return to Pakistan”, Punjab CM added.

He guaranteed full determination to eradicate terrorism and extremism which had prevailed in the country. The meeting included Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shahryar Khan, Chairman Executive Committee Najam Sethi, Police Inspector General, Interior Secretary, Lahore CCPO and Lahore Division Commissioner.

Afterwards, a press conference was held in which PCB chairman and ICC Task Force head made comments. Giles Clarke said, “I talked to the Punjab CM. I am hopeful for the return of international cricket in Pakistan”, he said.

He mentioned that the cricket fans are unhappy at the moment, however, he praised the efforts made by PCB.

Meanwhile, Shahryar Khan thanked Giles Clarke for his arrival in Pakistan.
