Pakistan out of World Disabled T20 series

LAHORE: Pakistan disabled team failed to cope with the pressure in fielding and made their way out of the first-ever World Disabled T20 Series in England.

The green shirts won just a game against Bangladesh out of their four outings in the mega event. They lost their first two matches consecutively against England and Afghanistan. The match against arch-rivals India also went against the favor of the men in green as they lost that by eight wickets.

Immense flaws and fielding and somewhere in batting and bowling have raised plenty of questions on the role of team management and Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA). The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), who support the PDCA for facilitating the disabled players, have also been asked about the performance of the team in the mega event.

On the other hand, the head coach of Pakistan Disabled Team, M Javaid, is satisfied with the overall performance by the players. “I think there was no major flaw in our performance. the boys played well in the tournament but winning or losing is part of the game,” he said in a television interview.

Meanwhile, Javaid stressed upon the need to improve the fielding of the team as they dropped plenty of chances. “Yes, you can say our players didn’t field well,” Javaid stated.
