Pakistan to fight for survival against NZ in Women’s WC match today

The match will be played at The County Ground in Taunton at 02:30 PM (PST), and Pakistan skipper Sana Mir is determined to lead her team to the first victory of the tournament.

Mir is well aware that her team are on the verge of getting knocked out of the semifinals, but she is hopeful to bounce back and get good result in today’s game by brushing aside the Black Caps.

Sana Mir said her team have learnt a lot from their matches so far in the tournament, and have displayed wonderful bowling skills throughout the championship.

It is pertinent here to mention that the Green Shirts have played four matches in the tournament so far and are yet to score a victory. Defending champions Australia are at the top of the table with eight points having won all their matches.

Indian are at second spot with eight points as well, and are also unbeaten in the tournament so far. England (6 points) are at third spot in the standings followed by New Zealand (5 points) and South Africa (5 points).

Sri Lanka, Pakistan and West Indies are at sixth, seventh and eighth places respectively, and none of them have won a match in the tournament as yet.
