Mehwish Hayat silences those trolling her on receiving a Tamgha-e-Imtiaz

A man is never questioned on the merit of receiving an award, says actor Mehwish Hayat. She says there is lack of knowledge and awareness about the categories of the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and other civilian awards. “I have been awarded in the category of acting. If any other [female] actor was given the same award, they would be trolled too.” Hayat was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz on March 23 along with 171 other people.
