A day after Donald Trump indicted Pakistan of ‘harbouring terrorists’, US envoy David Hale sought on Wednesday Islamabad’s assistance to solve a predicament in war-torn Afghanistan.
According to a Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Hale called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa during GHQ in Rawalpindi to brief him on a new US process on Afghanistan and South Asia.
“The envoy pronounced that a US valued Pakistan’s purpose in a fight opposite apprehension and is seeking team-work from Pakistan to solve a Afghan issue,” a military’s media wing pronounced in a statement.

Unveiling a US’ new Afghanistan and South Asia strategy, Trump questioned Pakistan’s purpose in traffic with certain belligerent outfits, quite a Afghan Taliban and a dependent group, a Haqqani network.
The dispute that began in Oct 2001 as a hunt for a 9/11 enemy has incited into a pained bid to keep Afghanistan’s divided and corruption-hindered democracy alive amid a heartless Taliban insurgency.
