Wayne Rooney retires from general football

LONDON: England’s record goalscorer Wayne Rooney announced on Wednesday he is timid from general football with evident effect, notwithstanding England manager Gareth Southgate revelation him he had warranted a recall.
The 31-year-old — scorer of 53 goals in 119 appearances for his nation — told Southgate of his preference during a phone conversation.
“Having already suspicion prolonged and hard, we told Gareth that we had now motionless to retire for good from general football,” pronounced Rooney in a matter sent to Press Association Sport.
