Arrests: AVCC, CPLC bust kidnappers’ squad
KARACHI: Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC), in partnership with a Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) claimed on Friday to have destitute a squad of criminals concerned in short-term kidnappings.
“The squad was concerned in short-term kidnappings for a final 3 years, quite in Saddar as good as Jinnah and Civil hospitals,” pronounced Criminal Investigation Agency’s arch DIG Dr Jameel Ahmed during a press discussion during his office. “The organisation used distilled substances to kidnap people belonging to farming Sindh and would after collect release income from their families [using handle transfers].”
Following a vast series of complaints, DIG Ahmed shaped a special military group headed by AVCC DSP Raja Amjad and a CPLC, and managed to detain a squad from Garden area. The suspects have been identified as Khamiso Buksh, Hanif Gul, Majeed Ahmed, Khalid Khamiso and Javed Ali.
